Farewell, Slim — Transitioning to a new, bigger mission!

I'm excited to share some big news from Slim.AI. We're taking a bold new direction, focusing all our energy on software supply chain security. And to meet this opportunity head-on, we’re building a solution focused on transparency, trust, and collaboration between software producers and consumers.

When we started Slim.AI, our goal was to help developers make secure containers. But as we dug deeper with our early adopters and key customers, we realized a bigger challenge exists within software supply chain security — namely, fostering collaboration and transparency between software producers and consumers. The positive feedback and strong demand we've seen from our early customers made it crystal clear: This is where we need to focus.

First, this new opportunity demands a company and brand that meet the moment. To that end, we’re momentarily stepping back into stealth mode, only to emerge with a vibrant new identity, a new name and a groundbreaking product very soon. Over the next few months, we'll be laser-focused on working with design partners and building up the product, making sure we're right on the mark with what our customers need.

As part of this transition, we’ll be shutting down all aspects of Slim.AI, including our free and paid products and our public presence. Existing users will have access to the platform until the end of March 2024. SlimToolkit, now a CNCF project, will continue to live on as an open-source project under the community’s guidance and with our sponsorship.

Additionally, we're making changes in our leadership structure to speed up our transformation. Ian Riopel, our former Chief Customer Officer, is stepping up as Chief Executive Officer. His deep experience in cybersecurity, go-to-market strategy, and customer advocacy is just what we need to win in enterprise software supply chain security. I’ll be moving into the Chief Technology Officer role to lead our technology and solution strategy, and serve on our Board of Directors. Our Tel Aviv-based product development organization is led by Mickey Gordon, our CPO, and Benji Kalman, our VP Engineering.

Thank you for sticking with us and for your continued support. We're thrilled about this new journey and can't wait to dive into securing the software supply chain together.
